Brittney Shipp is KRON4’S Chief Meteorologist and an Emmy Award-nominated meteorologist giving viewers the most accurate forecast evenings on KRON4.
Shipp is originally from Los Angeles and a graduate of UCLA, earning a degree in International Development Studies with an emphasis on Communications. She later graduated from Mississippi State University with a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology
Prior to joining KRON4, Shipp was the weekend meteorologist at NBC affiliate WCAU where she tracked the second snowiest winter ever recorded in Philadelphia. She has also filled in for several national newscasts including NBC’s ‘Early Today,’ ‘First Look,’ ‘Morning Joe’ and ‘Way Too Early’ on MSNBC.
Shipp called Arizona home for seven years, starting her career at NBC affiliate KYMA in Yuma, Arizona, then to KTVK in Phoenix.
In her spare time, Shipp enjoys learning to play the saxophone, hanging with her pug “Bella,” and traveling the world.
