Airplane Makes Emergency Landing in San Jose


SAN JOSE (KRON) — An Alaska Airlines twin engine airplane made an emergency landing at Mineta San Jose International airport Tuesday at 11:24 a.m.  Sources say there are reports that there was an engine fire.

The regional flight was departing to Boise when the pilot declared an emergency, said an airport spokesperson.

San Jose Fire responded to the scene.

All the passengers safely deplaned on the runway and there are no reported injuries.

There was no impact to flight operations at the airport.
