One Dead, Two Injured in Antioch Triple Shooting

ANTIOCH (KRON) — A man is dead and two women are recovering from gunshot wounds in Antioch after a late night shooting on Tuesday that police are calling an attempted murder-suicide.

The deceased male has been identified as 23-year-old Jimmie Bills.  Police say Bills kicked down the front door and opened fire on the women with a pistol, then shot himself.

The women victims are a 46-year-old and a 22-year-old, described by neighbors as a mother and daughter of Antioch.

The shooting occurred on the 2500 block of Yorkshire Drive at around 10:30 p.m. when

Neighbors said the man who was killed was the ex-boyfriend of the daughter shot in the incident.  Antioch police Lt. Diane Aguinaga says the daughter had a restraining order against the ex-boyfriend, but it had not been served.

Two twin 8-year-old boys and a sixteen-year old were also at the residence during the shooting but were not hurt.

One of the victims was able to call 911, police said.

Residents say it is a pretty quiet neighborhood and they are shocked that this has happened.

Antioch police are continuing their investigation into the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact local authorities.

  1. I would disagree with this being a quiet neighborhood. I have family that lives a few houses down from the shooting and their house was broken into about a year ago shortly after moving there.
