SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer apparently doesn’t “Fear the Beard.”
That follows a loud verbal confrontation between former Giants and current Dodgers relief pitcher Brian Wilson following Thursday’s L.A.-Giants game at AT&T Park.
Officials say Wilson was angry because he still hadn’t received his World Series ring from last year’s Giants championship.

“We have been for seven months trying to give him his World Series ring and tried these past three days,” Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said. “It’s been more challenging than we expected. We’ve given the ring to the Dodgers, and he now has it. We really tried to do the right thing. We invited him to the ring ceremony. A number of members of our organization repeatedly reached out to him, and we didn’t get any response.”
Officials say after the argument, Baer gave the ring to a member of the Dodgers organization to hand it over to Wilson. The reliever was a key part of the Giants two World Series wins but Tommy Johns surgery made him miss much of this season before he signed with the Dodgers.
