SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The NTSB has released a second video Thursday of the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash which shows the deadly tragedy from the air traffic control tower at San Francisco International Airport.
The new video captures Flight 214’s final descent and then its crash on July 6. Three people were killed and 200 more injured.
The video appears to show a routine landing, but about 17 seconds later as the plane is approaching the runway the images shows a cloud of smoke near the tail of the aircraft. Investigators determined that the plane was flying too low causing the tail of the plane to crash into the seawall.
Moments later, the aircraft disappears in the dust then reappears spiraling on its nose and gliding down the tarmac.
This is the second video the NTSB has released of the deadly crash of Flight 214. The first video was released yesterday.
