SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The mother of a 2007 murder victim is joining San Francisco police on Tuesday’s anniversary of Alberto Casilla’s death in hopes of getting the investigation restarted.
The 20-year old Casillas was shot and killed early on the morning of January 7, 2007 as he drove his silver 2007 GMC Yukon near Folsom and 13th Street.
Witnesses say the shooting happened not long after a confrontation he had inside Club Caliente in which two people brandished a firearm and threatened him.
Police have sketches of the two men. One is between 18 and 25 years old who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 200-plus pounds, has a dark
complexion and was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt with a white square in the chest area and a logo inside the square.
The other gunman is also between 18 and 25 years old and is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and was clean-shaven with a short haircut and a dark-colored T-shirt at the time of the shooting.
Casilla’s mother is working with police in hopes of generating new leads that will lead to arrests in the case.
