THE MIDWEST (KRON) — Don’t try this at home even if your home is in sub-zero weather.
At least 50 injuries are reported after people in the Midwest and East tried to copy a viral sensation, throwing boiling water into super-cold air. It’s supposed to turn to snow before it hits the ground.
The problem, experts say, is that too man people are doing this while standing downwind and are getting boiling water hitting exposed skin.
Several emergency rooms in the Midwest are also reporting seeing burns as a result of the prank which appeared to start with some TV reporters using the trick to show just how cold it was.
