Kidnapping Suspect Sketch Released

OAKLAND (KRON) — Oakland police have released a sketch of the person they think is responsible for the kidnapping a 19-year-old woman.

The woman was walking on the 200 block of 17th street around 8:30 p.m. last Wednesday when the suspect appeared from between two parked cars and approached her. The suspect wrapped both arms around the victim and told the victim he had a gun. The man then dragged her down the sidewalk.

They fell to the ground and the victim ran away. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

The suspect is described as an African-American male in his mid-twenties to early thirties, 5’7″ to 5’8″, 180 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was wearing a gray hooded parka and dark pants. He also had a strong odor of cigarettes, according to police.
