SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A “Fast & Furious” thrill ride is scheduled to open next year in Orlando, according to the @FastFurious Twitter account.
On Tuesday, the franchise announced that “Fast & Furious: Supercharged” will debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2015.
Riders will be “encircled by 400-foot-long movie screens,” and the trams themselves will feel as though they’re “being pulled through the streets at speeds of over 100 miles per hour,” an executive producer for Universal Creative told the New York Times.
The ride will turn back-lot trams at the theme park into “a hybrid movie and thrill ride,” the newspaper said.
Riders will feel like they’re being pulled through the streets on the trams at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour according to Chick Russell, a Universal Creative executive producer.
