SAN BRUNO (KRON) — Two men armed with a hammer and a kitchen knife appear responsible for a series of armed robberies Monday and Tuesday in and around San Bruno’s Commodore Park.
Police say the first incident happened about 5:30 p.m. Monday when a man armed with a kitchen knife stole a laptop from a victim walking in the park, near the northeast corner of the intersection of Interstates 280 and 380.
Monday evening two people armed with a hammer stole cash and other items from a man in the park restroom, police say. Tuesday morning men matching the same description, skinny guys in their late 20’s or early 30’s, used a knife to rob someone of his wallet and cell phone.
San Bruno police are urging park visitors to be aware of their surroundings and to visit in groups. They note all three victims were were alone at the time of the crimes.
