OAKLAND — A 5-year-old boy suffered severe eye injuries when he was hit with a paintball in West Oakland on Tuesday evening, police said.
The boy was in a car with his family driving in the 1700 block of Ninth Street at about 6:10 p.m. when a teenager on the sidewalk fired a paintball gun at the car, police Officer Frank Bonifacio said.
