HURON (KRON) — A statewide Amber Alert has been cancelled after three-year old girl that went missing from her mother’s car in the Huron area near Fresno in the Central Valley has been found alive in a field.
The CHP said the victim’s mother says she left Tanya Ruiz in the car while she ducked inside her apartment at 10th and 0 Streets in Huron Sunday evening at around 7:45 p.m. When she came out the mother says the child was gone.
Fresno County Sheriff’s department said the girl has been taken to a medical facility to check her for possible injuries.
The details surrounding the discovery of the girl are not immediately available.
Police are still searching for Tanya’s suspected abductor, who was described as a Hispanic man around 30 years old with long hair and was last seen wearing a red shirt and red hat.
