Crews Respond to Electrical Fire in Shell Refinery Control Room

MARTINEZ — Fire crews responded Tuesday to a small fire in a control room at the Shell oil refinery in Martinez, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher.

The fire was reported at 11:55 a.m. in a “clean fuels” control room at the refinery located at 3485 Pacheco Blvd., the dispatcher said.

Crews arriving on the scene found no smoke and a small electrical fire, which is being handled by the refinery’s emergency response personnel, according to the dispatcher.
