SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The search continues Wednesday for three people who were inside a blue Toyota that hit a pedestrian, a car, and then slammed into a garage in San Francisco’s Marina District.
Police say a patrol officer started following the car on Bay Street after suspecting it was a vehicle connected with a series of thefts from other cars. Investigators say the driver sped away before hitting a pedestrian and another vehicle near Franklin and Chestnut in the Marina.
Witnesses say three people in the Toyota on foot and ran in the direction of Aquatic Park. Police searched the area and detained several people but did not make any arrests.
The pedestrian and the driver of the car that was hit are both expected to survive their injuries.
