VIDEO: Graffiti Threats Prompt Security Surge at Middle School in Danville

DANVILLE (KRON) — Some parents are keeping students at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville at home Thursday because of two spray-painted threats left near campus.

Police say earlier this month they found vandals and left the messages on a sign across from the campus on El Capitan Drive. The graffiti reads, “12 People, May 8th.”

While the meaning of the message is ambiguous, police aren’t taking any chances. Danville police say they will increase patrols near the campus to make sure everyone stays safe. Additional school resource officers will also be on campus.

School administrators say they are doing everything they can to keep students and staff members safe.
