ORLANDO (KRON) — A Florida prosecutor is apologizing to any “crack hoes” he might have offended with a Mother’s Day Facebook posting.
Ken Lewis says he used a poor choice of words when he spoke of “crack hoes” adding he just have just referred to “drug addicts.”
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the crack hoes out there,” Lewis’ status on his personal Facebook page read. “It’s never too late to turn it around. Tie your tubes. Clean up your life and make a difference to someone out there that deserves a better mother.”
Lewis says he used the wrong terms but blames the media for covering what he posted on Facebook saying reporters should instead focus on pay rates for prosecutors.
This latest flap comes just weeks after Lewis apologized to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor for posting her photo with a comment insinuating that if it wasn’t for affirmative action she would be working at a fast-food restaurant.
A growing number of critics say these comments mean Lewis should be forced out as a prosecutor on several high-profile felony cases.
