SEOUL, South Korea (KRON) — South Korea’s capital says it wants to become more “lady-friendly” but plenty of ladies and others are fuming about one element of the plan, parking spots for women.
The specially marked women-only parking spots are marked with pink emblems of women and are much wider than normal parking places. Many critics say the idea that women can’t park their cars well enough to fit into normal sized spaces is offensive.
In all the city of Seoul is spending $95 million on making the community more “lady friendly” including new “stiletto heel-friendly sidewalks” on city streets and installing nearly 7,000 women’s toilets around the capital.
