SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Standard toilets may be a thing of the past. Japanese high-tech toilets are now making their way to the United States.
Lixil Corporation, headed by Yoshiaki Fujimori, plans to sell their line of “smart toilets” to American consumers.
These smart toilets have a variety of unique features, such as lids that lift automatically and heated seats.
Additionally, the toilets can sync smartphones via Bluetooth. This allows for users to play some of their favorite music through speakers located in the toilet bowl.
These high-tech toilets are popular in Japan. About 75 percent of Japanese homes have smart toilets.
