SAN FRANCISCO — Power might not be restored until noon to some PG&E customers in San Francisco’s Sunset District after a fire sparked on a power pole this morning, a utility spokesman said.
The outage was reported around 6:10 a.m. and initially affected 2,242 customers following a pole fire on Pacheco Street near 43rd Avenue, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
Crews responded and restored power to all but 161 customers by 7 a.m., Guidi said.
The remaining customers may be without power until noon while crews replace the pole that caught fire, he said.
The customers affected are near 21st Avenue between Noriega and Santiago streets, Guidi said.
