KRON — Officials have confirmed that missing 9-year-old, Ida Rothschild, has been found alive in Samuel Taylor State Park.
Ida Rothschild, who is originally from New Mexico, went missing Friday around noon.
Officials say she reportedly wandered off while playing with a group of children.
The search for Ida was the largest in the last seven years, and included over 200 searchers.
Two Female Cyclists called 911 after spotting Ida 2.5 miles west from a command post on Saturday morning. They say she was crying out for her mom when they found her. The women waited with Ida for about 30 minutes until Marin county fire personnel reached them.
The cyclists said Ida seemed to be in good spirits.
When asked by her mom how she was doing after spending the night in the woods, the girl responded, “I’m fine, mom.”
