SAN RAFAEL (KRON) — A San Rafael man is due in court Monday on charges he raped an unconscious 14-year old.
35-year old Aorrell Burrell is now in the Marin County jail after receiving treatment for a police dog sustained during his arrest in Hayward.
The victim allegedly says Burrell raped her while she was sleeping in an apartment on North Avenue in San Rafael on Monday. The teen’s mother took her to Marin General Hospital after the alleged assault.
Police say they tracked down Burrell to a relative’s home in Hayward. When the suspect ran out the back of the home, police say a canine officer bit him. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and then on to the Marin County Jail on $1 million bail.
