SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Warning: The video you are about to watch contains graphic content.
Cell phone video shows the moment a mother was ferociously beaten by another woman while her toddler looked on.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Latia Harris, was angry about being the target of workplace gossip. Harris confronted the woman at a public park in front of several bystanders.
Harris, still wearing her McDonald’s uniform, knocked the woman down and punched her numerous times on the face while the victim’s 2-year-old son cried out “Mommy!”
The bystanders pulled out cellphones and began recording the beating. No one attempted to stop the attack.
The woman’s son punched Harris back and screamed at her to get off his mom.
The suspect stopped punching the boy’s mother, but then stands over the woman and kicks her in the back.
The small boy kicks Harris on her leg.
“You better get your son before I kick him in the face, too,” Harris shouted.
The victim suffered injuries to her face, extensive bruises and cuts, a broken nose, and a concussion.
Salem City police are searching for Harris and believe she may have left the state. She is facing assault charges.
