Police Seek Driver of Car in Hit-And-Run that Seriously Injured a Pedestrian

SAN JOSE (BCN) — San Jose police and a victim’s family members are asking the public for information about a driver whose car struck and seriously injured a pedestrian last Wednesday, police said today.

Police were dispatched at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Hostetter and Four Oaks roads just west of Interstate Highway 680, police Officer Albert Morales said.

Officers at the scene determined that a car had struck a pedestrian on Hostetter Road and then driven away, Morales said.

The 26-year-old victim was transported to a hospital and remains there with serious injuries, Morales said.

The Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit is coordinating the probe into the hit-and-run incident.

Officers have no suspect description and the vehicle has been described only as a dark-colored four-door sedan last seen headed east on Hostetter.

Police believe that the suspect’s vehicle may have damage to the front end.
