COMMANCHE (KRON) — One person is dead, at least two others injuries, after a fireworks explosion at a high school in a small Texas town.
The explosion happened Thursday morning as crews were setting up the tubes for the town’s annual Fourth of July display.
A witness reports seeing a trailer holding the fireworks and two other vehicles on fire.
The Commanche Chamber of Commerce posted on its Facebook page that all celebrations in the area are now cancelled.
Witnesses tell KRON 4 the explosion could be heard from nearly 15 miles away.
