HAYWARD (KRON) — When school is out for summer, what happens to kids who depend on federally financed school lunches?
Alameda County officials say one in three children in the region faces the threat of hunger.
That’s why kids will be able to get free lunches starting Tuesday from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Eden Area Multi-Service Center on Amador Street in Hayward.
The food is available to kids 18 and under on a first come-first serve basis.
