Accused Meth Dealer Arrested in Golden Gate Park Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A 31-year old alleged drug dealer is in custody in connection with a shooting that happened inside Golden Gate Park in June.

Investigators say the victim came forward to report being shot in the leg. Although the shooter had fled the scene, authorities say detectives managed to identify Randy Baldwin as the suspect in the case.

Police say they raided a home on Hollywood Court on July 7th and arrested Baldwin. He’s now charged with possession of a stolen concealed firearm, possession for sales of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, and carrying a dirk or dagger and assault with a firearm. Police say he also had several outstanding traffic warrants.

Even though Baldwin is in custody, police are looking for more potential witnesses to the shooting.
