PACIFICA (KRON) — There were a lot of people in time out on the Peninsula on Wednesday due to a crackdown on pretty much any one behaving badly behind the wheel of a car.
Grant money for the Office of Traffic Safety brought officers from more than a dozen agencies to Pacifia and Half Moon Bay and all the towns in between. The grant money is to cut down on the amount of crashes that happen due to inattentive and well bad drivers.
More than 225 people were stopped for various reason and 196 received tickets for violations like speeding.
