GERMANY (KRON) — Nearly 80,000 gallons of beer is missing in Germany and that doesn’t count the brews soccer fans have consumed since the country won the World Cup over the weekend.
Police say while the country was focusing on welcoming the winning team back to the country, thieves found an unguarded warehouse filled with beer and quickly emptied it.
The beer boosters got away with about ten truckloads. That’s the the equivalent of 140,891 U.S. six-packs.
While that may seem like a lot of brews, in beer crazed Germany, people would consume 79,000 gallons of beer in less than 20 minutes.
