Man Shot and Stabbed on Sunday Marks San Jose’s 20th Homicide of the Year

SAN JOSE — A man who was stabbed and shot on Sunday in West San Jose died Thursday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

The victim suffered stab and gunshot wounds Sunday in the 3200 block of Loma Verde Drive just west of Winchester Boulevard, according to Sgt. Heather Randol.

Police have a suspect in custody for the homicide, Randol said.

The motive for the slaying and the identities of the victim and suspect were not immediately available.

The death is the 20th homicide so far this year in San Jose, Randol said.
