SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A sweet ending to the story of two children robbed on the streets of San Francisco thanks to a local candy company.
Ladonna Christian, 46, of San Francisco, accused of robbing and hurting an 8-year-old girl selling candy in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood last week, has pleaded not guilty to robbery and child endangerment charges.
According to San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Leslie Cogan, the 8-year-old girl was selling candy in front of a store with her 10-year-old cousin when Christian allegedly approached her and used a rouse asking for bus money to distract the girl.
She then allegedly grabbed the girl’s wrist and twisted her arm, making her drop a bag of money, Cogan said.
KRON 4’s Maureen Kelly’s explains how the gift they were given is meant to help them rebound from their bitter experience.
