Inmates Accused of Beating Alleged “Warlock” Molester in Jail

PRINCETON, West Virginia (KRON) — Two jail inmates are facing assault charges after allegedly beating up an accused child molester accused of telling his victims he was a warlock.

Authorities say the two inmates beat 56-year old James Irvin with their handcuffs while sharing a cell with him.

Irvin is facing serious felony charges for his alleged assualts on several little girls. Prosecutors say he told the children he was a warlock before raping them. Some of his alleged victims are as young as three.

Irvin says he’s a practicing Wiccan and pagan.

The two inmates accused in the beating reportedly wanted to send Irvin a message after seeing coverage of his alleged crimes in the media. Irvin is expected to recover.
