PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police have released the name of a 3-year-old Philadelphia girl killed by a stray bullet while sitting on her front porch.
Police said Saturday that Tynirah Borum was shot in the chest Friday night in the Grays Ferry neighborhood. She died at a hospital.
Investigators say a man on a bike and another man got into an argument, and the cyclist fired three shots. The other man was shot in the head and critically wounded. Stray bullets hit two bystanders and the girl.
Renee Bradford tells WCAU-TV that her friend’s daughter “was everything to us.” Bradford says, “For her to get shot in the chest? She’s a baby. No baby deserves to die like that.”
Police say they are speaking with a person of interest. No arrests have been made.
