CONCORD — A woman was attacked and possibly sexually assaulted in a Concord park early Saturday morning, according to police.
Officers responded around 6:45 a.m. to a report of an unconscious, bleeding woman at Hillcrest Park in the 2000 block of Olivera Road, police said.
Police said officers located the victim, a woman in her 40s, who appeared to have been the victim of an attack and possible sexual assault.
Officers performed first aid and the woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment. She was in stable condition this afternoon, according to police.
Investigators continue to look into the details of the attack.
While no suspects have been located, police say there is nothing to indicate a heightened risk to public safety.
