PACIFIC OCEAN — A Bay Area company is tweeting pictures and updates from the Pacific Ocean in the path of two hurricanes taking aim at the Hawaiian Islands.

Sunnyvale-based Liquid Robotics is sending the information from its Wave Glider Holoholo is steering directly into the paths of both Hurricanes Iselle and Julio.

The company’s web site says it markets its floating platform to the defense, private security, oil and gas, and other industries.

A Liquid Robotics news release says it used a similar Wave Glider to monitor one of the Pacific’s largest typhoons last month.
