VALLEJO — A fatal two-car accident on the eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo kept one lane closed for nearly three hours this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was first reported at 12:37 a.m. on the eastbound Highway 80 just after the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza, according to the CHP.
A sig-alert was issued at 12:58 a.m. for the leftmost lane that was closed on Carquinez Toll Plaza Road, according to the CHP.
Two lanes were eventually blocked off for clean-up efforts until the sig-alert was canceled at 3:34 a.m., opening all lanes.
The coroner called to the accident confirmed the fatality at 3:29 a.m. and reported that no identification for the victim could be found, according to CHP.
