UPDATE: Evacuations Lifted After Campbell Gas Leak

CAMPBELL (KRON) — Hundreds of people are returning to their homes and businesses Monday after a four-inch gas line was severed at a Campbell construction project.

KRON 4’s Rob Fladeboe reports the leak was capped at about 10:45 a.m.

Crews working at a building site on Hacienda Avenue called 911 after hitting the natural gas line.

Police and firefighters then went door to door in the area telling people to get out as a precaution.

PG&E remain on the scene along with firefighters.
