CAMPBELL (KRON) — Hundreds of people are returning to their homes and businesses Monday after a four-inch gas line was severed at a Campbell construction project.
KRON 4’s Rob Fladeboe reports the leak was capped at about 10:45 a.m.
Crews working at a building site on Hacienda Avenue called 911 after hitting the natural gas line.
Police and firefighters then went door to door in the area telling people to get out as a precaution.
PG&E remain on the scene along with firefighters.
