UPDATE: Threatening Phone Call Prompted Sutter Elem. Lockdown in Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA (KRON) — Things are returning to normal at Sutter Elementary School in Santa Clara after a lockdown was lifted on the campus.

School staff members say someone called with a threat to the campus office prompting the decision to order the lockdown at the campus on Forbes Avenue near Pomeroy Avenue.

A search of the area showed no evidence of a credible threat to the students or staff, police say.

A police officer remains on campus throughout the day. Parents do have the option of taking their children home for the day.

There are no reports of injuries or danger to the students or the staff.
