SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A staff member at Glide Memorial Church was attacked and stabbed in the shoulder this morning, according to San Francisco police and a church spokesperson.
Police said the victim was stabbed at around 10 a.m. Glide spokesperson Denise Lamott said it happened in the building and the Glide team administered first aid until medical crews arrived.
The staff member was treated by paramedics and brought to the hospital, she said.
The victim’s injuries are considered to be non-life threatening, police said.
The suspect fled the scene but was detained a short time later at 6th and Market Streets while on a bus, they said.
The cause of the stabbing is under investigation.
