SAN JOSE (KRON) — One of two drivers wanted in connection with a pair of unrelated hit-and-run accidents in San Jose is now in custody.
San Jose police say a woman returned to the scene of Monday night’s wreck at Senter and Oldham about two hours after she allegedly fled the scene of the wreck. She was arrested and taken to the Santa Clara County Jail from processing.
That woman may charged in the injuring of a pedestrian who was allegedly jaywalking across Senter Road at Oldham Monday evening. The victim remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries, detectives say
This accident comes just about a day after a 51-year old bicyclist was struck and killed a block away at Senter and Balfour. In that case the vehicle is described as a dark colored sedan.
“It’s just a horrible tragic coindidence that both of these things happened not even 24 hours from one to the other in the same area,” San Jose police officer Christian Camarillo tells KRON 4.
Police say the vehicle involved is likely to have severe front end damage.
