SONOMA CO. — The Sonoma County coroner’s office has identified a driver who died in a solo-vehicle crash north of Santa Rosa on Sunday night as 55-year-old Amelia Passetti.
Passetti, a Santa Rosa resident, was seen weaving, speeding and using multiple lanes while driving a 2011 Lexus SUV north on U.S. Highway 101 around 8:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Lexus left the highway and crashed into a redwood tree and a streetlight on the northbound Highway 101 off-ramp to Mark West Springs Road near the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.
Passetti was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
