MINNEAPOLIS (KRON) — Attention Target Shoppers, hope you’re not getting sleepy.
The retail chain says it’s going to stay open later at more than half of its 1,800 stores nationwide in hopes of attracting the late night crowd.
The new hours mean Target will close the targeted stores at 11:00 p.m. or midnight and an hour earlier on weekends.
The changes will remain in effect through the holiday shopping season when they will be re-evaluated, officials say.
Target competes with Wal-Mart which keeps 70% of its stores open 24 hours a day.
