SACRAMENTO (KRON) — Governor Jerry Brown is declaring a State of Emergency statewide because of the Magnitude 6.1 quake that hit Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties.
The Governor says the declaration means that “all agencies of the state government utilize and employ state personnel, equipment, and facilities for the performance of any and all activities consistent with the direction of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the State Emergency Plan. Also, all
citizens the advice of emergency officials with regard to this emergency in order to protect their safety.”
Dozens of people are receiving treatment at hospitals throughout the region with a child and two adults critically injuried.
