LADERA (KRON) — A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck in south San Mateo County on Wednesday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck at 8:24 p.m. and was centered in Ladera near Portola Valley, Menlo Park, and Redwood City. The quake had a depth of 2.5 miles, USGS officials said.
One KRON 4 News viewer reported feeling the jolt in Redwood City.
Another user in Menlo Park says that the quake lasted about 3 seconds.
