FAIRFIELD (KRON) — Police are sending extra patrols to the area of Oakbrook Elementary School after a threatening message was posted on the web site for the campus’ Parent-Teacher Association.
Authorities say someone posted on the site Monday afternoon saying they were thinking about going to the school and harming people there. No specifics were included in the threat.
Investigators say it’s unclear how serious this threat may be but authorities are treating it with caution.
Detectives are looking for evidence that might show this is a hoax or that would confirm the threat.
In the meantime school is operating with the extra patrols in the area.
Oakbrook Elementary is on Oakbrook Drive just west of I-680 south of the Cordelia Junction.
