South San Francisco (KRON) — A private charter-style bus carrying 25 passengers caught fire Thursday night creating delays for 280 northbound traffic.
At around 6:17pm, California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a bus fire near Hickey Boulevard in South San Francisco.
All of the passengers were able to make it off safety, there were no reported injuries.
Crews were able to put out the fire but the two right lanes of northbound Interstate Highway 280 remain closed, according to the California Highway patrol.
Drivers should expect delays and severe traffic in the area.
