VIDEO: Nursing Student Killed by Drunk Driver Celebrated for Bringing Life to Others

LIVERMORE — A Community is remembering a Chico State nursing student who in death gave life to many in her community.

KRON 4’s Alecia Reid reports from a memorial in Livermore where the community joined to celebrate the life of 21-year-old Kristina Chesterman, who’s organs have gone on to save several lives.

Kristina’s parents have met 4 of the 5 recipients of her organs. But Kristina’s good will goes even further. There have been a number of fundraisers for Doctors Without Borders, and there’s now a nursing scholarship at Chico University, funded for at least the next 30 years.

Kristina’s parents say they will soon travel to Nigeria where they will help break ground at the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic.
