SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose water officials are narrowing their focus to two streets after e-coli contamination was found in a newly installed water main.
Officials say they have isolated the area where a boil-water notice is in effect to Sydney Drive and Sydney court. This is in the far northeastern corner of San Jose.
The water is safe for things like washing dishes, washing clothes, and showering but if you’re going to drink it or cook with it, officials say you should boil it first.
The Milpitas Christian School and a resident with critical health needs got special warnings about the possible contamination.
Originally the boil-water area was significantly larger but officials say they have conducted repeated tests in that area and found no sign of contamination.
