NOVATO (KRON) — Novato police are at all three high school campuses in the Marin County community after someone posted threats on social media.

Several parents contacted school officials and police about the postings.

“Last night an anonymous posting on social media was discovered indicating harm to students at Novato High School resulting in police presence at Novato High, San Marin and Marin Oaks today ensuring that students and staff feel safe,” the Novato Unified School District said in a written statement. “Given the communication through social media that will likely happen through students today, we want you to have accurate information.”
