LONDON (KRON) — Four Islamic terror suspects have been arrested after British police uncovered an alleged plot to assassinate the Queen of England, according to The Sun in the UK.
The knife attack was planned for Friday during the weekend’s Royal British Legion Festival, a military bash held in Royal Albert Hall. Cops caught up with the suspects on Thursday night in separate raids in West London and Buckinghamshire.
The four suspects are between 19- and 27-years-old.
Both the Queen and Prime Minister David Cameron were informed of the potential threat.
The 88-year-old Queen will still attend the Sunday Remembrance festivities as planned, The Sun said.
