Free Parking At Oakland Coliseum BART Station Ends Monday

OAKLAND (KRON) – On Monday morning BART will begin charging Oakland Coliseum riders $1 for parking.

BART announced the fee back on October 6th.

Coliseum station is one of four BART stations implementing the fee. On October 27th the Concord station began charging it’s riders for parking. The North Concord BART station started charging last week.

BART says the money will go towards modernizing and rehabilitating its stations and improving shuttle services.

Next on the list of stations to implement the dollar charge will be Hayward. BART’s website says Hayward riders can expect the fee starting December 8th.
